Welcome scientists to the 2009-2010 school year! I am Ms. Hoffek and I will be your sixth grade science teacher. This is my 20th year of teaching. I know middle school is a new experience for everyone and I want to make your transition as easy as possible. My class involves teaching process skills through laboratory work, classroom discussions and independent study. Units of study will include simple machines, energy, weather, plants and animals.

Class Announcements THIS WEEK IN SCIENCEStudents will be investigating vertebrates for the next few weeks. Ask you student to name the five major groups of vertebrates.
